HSE LICENSED SCAFFOLDERS

Staff of scaffolding companies, which hold an HSE licence, are required to have asbestos training, and subsequent annual refresher training, to be able to work on asbestos removal sites. This course delivers appropriate training covering areas from use of RPE to full decontamination procedures.

Aims
To provide training for those employed by a HSE Licensed Scaffolding company who will be working on asbestos removal sites or in environments where asbestos may exist. The course covers the full syllabus requirements as detailed in the ‘Asbestos: The licensed contactor’s guide’, Chapter 4.

Course contentsFor new scaffolders the full day course will cover:
  • Health risks and avoidance of exposure
  • Use of PPE, RPE and emergency decontamination procedures
  • Scaffolders roles and responsibilities
  • Full decontamination procedures (practical)
  • RPE maintenance and inspection
A refresher course is run over a half day and does not cover full decontamination procedures and RPE maintenance and inspection.

Candidates will be required to demonstrate the necessary understanding of the course, by modular tests (an overall pass mark of 80% is required) and the use of preliminary and full decontamination procedures). Candidates not doing so will not pass the course.

Please note: candidates must be clean shaven.

Course Duration:

Full Course 1 Day
Refresher 1/2 Day

Price:

Full Course £125.00 (+VAT)

Refresher £80.00 (+VAT)
